Working Man's Cafe

I am in Canada and I have looked everywhere for the CD. Each music store I went to the clerk had the same story “someone just asked about that disc”. The strange thing is the local newspaper had an extensive review of the disc a few weeks back along with all the other new releases for that week. He is a local writer... so I am sure he received a promotional copy. Anyways, I was forced to download a copy until I can buy it locally as I am unwilling to spend a fortune on an import. Its no wonder the music industry is in dire straits when a quality artist like Ray is nowhere to be found but Brittany’s new disc you could find at every grocery store.

according to dave emlens site, it wont be released in the US and A til February 19, 2008. WTF? That's way too long a wait.

I just got the news through the digest. It is a long time to wait.

But then it won't be too much longer till Ray tours North America in the spring.

Start saving up NOW blamo, G12, ILEE, etc. all you UK kinksters, so you can do some US dates!

I've written to New West to try to get more information about the release and also info on whether they are going to make it available to folk in Canada as well as the US.

Yes, would be nice to know what the DVD is, maybe the Blip.tv stuff?

I'm sure the songs on that video are recorded entirely. At least it would be nice to get those.

So, I had compiled today's digest and it was all ready to go when I got an email from New West. I put that into the digest and sent that out. Here is the information from the email.

Cowboys". Fans should be able to dedicate the songs and stream on their own

That is great news! I already have the iTunes edition (bought it when it was prematurely released for 2 days) and the Sunday Times one. But I would still buy the CD when it becomes available.

When the details become available, we could broadcast the information to our members. Of the the 1300 members, only 50 or 60 read the forum on a semi-regular basis. I would bet that most members don't get the digest either. Just a thought.
