Hi All,

I just found a video of Ray's gutsy song "To the Bone." Probably you all
have seen it but in case you haven't, here's the link:

I'm wondering why he's dressed up to look like John Lennon-- or is that
just me? I read that he wrote the song for Rasa, his first wife, some 20
years after their break-up.

I was just curious as to what everyone else might think about the video.

Cheers,

A.

I thought the Ray's character from "To The Bone" was the hippie from "Predictable" updated to 1995/6.

I know who you mean but when he was the hippie, he didn't
wear glasses and his hair was in a ponytail.

I know Ray has always resented Lennon (with good reason)
so it just made me wonder.

Wonderful song, by the way.

One thing I like about Ray's videos -his character frequently looks very similar to his Uncle Frank. and you can often find a street busker playing near a railway station (from the end credits of Return to Waterloo)

Ray busking at the station:

I like that theory!

Even if it's not 'correct', it's still interesting. That's the beauty of art; it allows for interpretation.

I'm not having much luck with the original link to "To the Bone" but here's the same on youtube:

This time it's Dave doing the busking right at the start of the video.

The synchronisation between the sound and video isn't right on that 'To the Bone' video.

Yeah Seanie-I would guess that the person who posted the video added the clean audio from a cd and synchronisation was a problem. cool.gif
