Thanks Holly...I think I have a somewhat recent picture of him on my PC that if I find I'll post here...
OK I think I have one of the two of us taken about 3 or 4 years ago...
so here is Me with one of my childhood friends Vince who passed away Sunday...
This was after he lost well over 100 lbs and he was sitting I was standing but crouching down.

I'm waiting to find out the wake and funeral services info for this week.

That's tough on you Frank, think of the good times.

FrankLima- 04-24-2006
Thanks guys...I apprceciate your concern.
...btw he attended quite a few kinks shows with me back in the 70's too and was a kinks fan ( maybe not like us ) but a fan none the less to the end.

" Life goes on.
It happens ev'ry day.
So appreciate what you got
Before it's taken away.
Life will hit you
When you're unprepared,
So be grateful and take all
That you can while you're there. "

My sympathies Frank. Thanks for telling us a little bit about your wonderful friend. He sounds like he was quite the man.

Interestingly enough the song in my head today is Better Things... sending it out in memory for you and Vince.

Very sorry to hear about the loss of such a good friend, Frank. You were blessed to have Vince so close in your life for so long. Which makes me hear Days.

yeah, condolences, frank - Life Goes On seems appropriate.

I got KING KONG ringin in my head.

I'm still amazed at how long it took me to decipher the lyric "little man's weak and big man's strong"....

FrankLima- 04-24-2006
Thanks for all the thoughts guys...
Now I got Schooldays and The Last Assembly going through my head...reminds me of my friend and the good times and memories we had.

KING KONG

I'm still amazed at how long it took me to decipher the lyric "little man's weak and big man's strong"....

"little man weak and big man strong"

You're not the only one, billo. It took me years and years for it to dawn on me.

Another example was "outside a bed and breakfast" from "Picture Book". In 1969, most Americans had never heard of the term 'B+B' or "Bed and Breakfast" - unless you'd been to the UK. It puzzled me for years. The rest of the line "sunny south end" -- or was it "sunny South Bend"? Why would Ray be name-checking Indiana?

Why wouldn't Ray be name-checking Indiana?
