This world is big and wild and half insane....

The world's going crazy and nobody give a damn anymore...

Everybody's guilty and everybody's innocent.

The fact of it is nobody gives any more.

It Preservation Baby...( sung to the tune of Pearl Jam's Do the the Evolution )

Woo..
I'm ahead, I'm a man
I'm the first mammal to wear pants, yeah
I'm at peace with my lust
I can kill 'cause in God I trust, yeah
It's evolution, baby

I'm at piece, I'm the man
Buying stocks on the day of the crash
On the loose, I'm a truck
All the rolling hills, I'll flatten' em out, yeah
It's herd behavior, uh huh
It's evolution, baby

Admire me, admire my home
Admire my song, here's my coat
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
This land is mine, this land is free
I'll do what I want but irresponsibly
It's evolution, baby

I'm a thief, I'm a liar
There's my church, I sing in the choir:
(hallelujah¡ hallelujah¡)

Admire me, admire my home
Admire my song, admire my clothes
'cause we know, appetite for a nightly feast
Those ignorant indians got nothin' on me
Nothin', why?
Because, it's evolution, baby!

I am ahead, I am advanced
I am the first mammal to make plans, yeah
I crawled the earth, but now I'm higher
Twenty-ten, watch it go to fire
It's evolution, baby (2x)
Do the evolution
Come on, come on, come on

Nice space, Ina. Thanks for sharing.

Imaginary Man- 01-21-2006
Thanks, I know it's a bit poor but the excerpts of X-Ray and the Song Of The Week are growing!

By the way the song in my head is the London Song.

All the talk about VGPS on the other thread, got me into Animal Farm

hollyh- 01-22-2006
Yeah, that's a nice side effect of that game, isn't it? Even though I did not put Big Sky on my Top Three list from VGPS, as soon as I began to look over everybody else's answers I could think of nothing else all day. So there it is, Big Sky.

FrankLima- 01-22-2006
Usually when I am feeling crappy about my life with all my regrets of the things I didn't do or accomplish I think of Misfits and My Diary...then Life Goes on, and then I turn in to EL-Kabong and look for a guitar to smash. huh.gif

I have "Little Miss Queen of Darkness" stuck in my head. A cheeky young man tells me I'm dark (which I'm not). I wouldn't tolerate it if it weren't for Ray's lovely interpretation of what a dark young lady is (that and the fact the guy is always good for a few beers).

And "Animal Farm" is perpetually in my head because the world IS big AND wild AND half insane.

FrankLima- 01-25-2006
She was really animal...remeber that one from Ray's Storyteller 20th Century Man shows? That's been in my head a while now.

FranK Wild and fully insane

I'd really like to hear Act Nice And Gentle Live.

The Songs In My Head are specially One Of The Survivors and Thanksgiving Day.

NoisyRoom- 01-28-2006
Hi Iñakink - I was lucky enough to hear Act Nice and Gentle live at last years Tibet House Benefit. Here's what I wrote:

the Black Keys (2-piece drums/elec. guitar-rock style) did a couple of tunes. They were joined by Ray on piano with his guitarist, Mark Johns, performing a killer bluesy version of "Act Nice & Gentle" !! Blew me away how great it was.

Still waiting to see if Ray will be added to this years benefit March 1. smile.gif

Song in my head, again, Things Are Gonna Change

The Kinks
Live At the Fillmore West

Amazing!! You will be able to listen to, and enjoy the *Authur* era Kinks. They played six times (day and night) at the Fillmore West, from 11/27 through 11/29. This show is probably from either 11/28, or 11/29, 1969, but I am not sure.

Sound Quality-This is a Very good quality soundboard recording.
