Ah, I can hear the buses groaning past my windows again, and can feel the subway shaking the foundations of our building every 7.5 minutes -- WE'RE BACK!
Perhaps our song should be "Nothing Lasts Forever" -- or maybe "Money Talks" --
CBS-TV News (Channel 2 in NYC) was asking commuters in front of Penn Station (Long Island Railroad) for their comments after the ending of the strike was announced -- and interviewed my 15 year old niece and her dippy friend, who complained about having to walk 9 blocks to their high school (School of Professional Performing Arts - Brittney Spears alma mater). Remind me to smack her friend upside her head for bitching about their long walk (some people had to trek for hours to get to and from work). Even my niece seemed embarrassed by her friend's comments. My wife tapes the CBS Soaps so we have their "interview" on tape.
Well if your niece is attending a performing arts school...I'm sure she can find
a freind in the communications wing to do some creative editing!!
Actually, my son is a Film major at the School of Visual Arts.
People will say anything to get on TV!

And no doubt the producers used their remarks because they are cute, not because they had anything to contribute to the civic debate.
The song on my mind is what this thread is about hey!
God's children
And my children are too. I wonder they all came from.
Enjoy what's left of x-mas. On to boxing day!
Thinking about Christmas's of the past when I was growing up in the 50's and 60's makes me think of " Young and Innocent Days " and " Nothing Lasts Forever "...how sadly true !
I miss those times gone and the people who are gone too.
Welcome to the (un)wonderful world of technology?

im in disgrace im in disgrace dat rocks
I destroyed my Sony Dat years ago when I realized " Life is so complicated " and I had to slow down my life...if I could go completey back to vinal and my old gerrard turntable I would. For Christmas I got a Tshirt th says " ask me about my 7 inches " and has the 45 rpm plastic adapter symbol in the middle.
Where have all the good times gone indeed?

father christmas was my dad
Missing sun of any kind. Gray skies will persist for the next month or two. I'm thinking... Waterloo Sunset's fiiiine.
I hadn't put on the Arthur album for a while -- just sat down with it and listened to the whole thing straight through. I'd forgotten how good it was!

"Nothing to Say" floats to the top...
Berkeley Mews I first met you
Dave's background subtle guitar runs on " Nothing to Say " are among the best I ever heard. They rank up there with those of the Beck's, Page's, Hendrix's, in the world of rock n ' roll, but the one that always comes to mind in particular is off Spirit's " 12 Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus " LP with the track " Street Worm " in which Randy California does this amazing runs up and down the fret board that I'm sure Slash paid close attention to during his formative years...( just one listen off of Appetite for Destrction tells me that? )
There's also a couple of songs off Phobia that Dave's guitar amaze's me with too, both his own two songs and also Wall of Fire and Phobia as well.
